Mechanical Commissioning Manager

As a Commissioning package manager, you will be part of our quality & commissioning team and with your technical knowledge & project management expertise you will ensure projects are planned and managed in a coordinated manner through all levels of commissioning. You will have prior experience managing high performing teams to achieve excellent predictable results for our customers. Explore your tasks and responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end commissioning processes on projects within your technical area of expertise and assigned systems and packages. Serve as the project subject matter expert (SME) for Mechanical HVAC systems testing and commissioning. Define the quality and commissioning scope and provide clear direction to all stakeholders to execute the tasks to completion. Measure and manage the execution of testing for your package from Commissioning Level 1 through to Commissioning Level 5, adhering to stringent technical requirementsReport and manage completion risk for your package early giving complete transparency and time to reactSupport and manage safety requirements during Commissioning such as Permit to Work (PTW), Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) systems. Interpret all design documentation and specifications to ensure the facility is tested and operates within the parameters outlined by the customer and design team. Write and approve testing documentation such as scripts, RFIs, technical submittals, etc. Direct and manage the commissioning and integration of your equipment and systemsSet measurable acceptance criteria for your package, ensuring the facility is tested and that testing is clearly recorded in line with these criteria. Drive paperwork and deliverable completion for your package such as scripts, RFIs, etc. Manage the closure of punch lists associated with your packageEnsure project setup and execution frameworks are aligned with internal best practices. Plan and schedule testing with all stakeholders, demonstrating the ability to adapt while meeting deadlines. Communicate expectations, roles, and responsibilities associated with commissioning, holding everyone accountable for their commitments to ensure effective contribution to project success. Manage the Factory Witness Testing (FWT) strategy & carry over work risk management. Provide a comprehensive commissioning and completion strategy for each asset (L0-L6) from planning to handover. Visualize, explain, and manage the construction completions and pre-commissioning strategies to all stakeholders, influencing buy-in to ensure timely turnover to the start-up & commissioning teams. Attend various meetings and give clear updates on package progressProvide reports and metrics as required. Interpret data to ensure the commissioning process is continually progressing towards completion. Technical Skills :
Candidate must possess hands-on experience and knowledge of following electrical systems completion and commissionings techniques :
SME level understanding of mechanical/piping/HVAC engineering principlesChiller system (Air and Water)Cooling TowerTransfer fans. CRAC/CRAH/fan-wall SystemsFCU, VRV, VRF systemsFuel transfer systems. Heat PumpsBoiler systemsDistrict heating systemsHumidification systemsSprinkler and LSS systemsIn depth knowledge of Air cooled and liquid cooled facility principle knowledgeCDU systemsAbility to read & interpret all technical documents such as technical submittals, drawings (P&IDs, SLDs, etc. )Detailed knowledge of TAB (Air and Water) and planning/execution of same. Piping and general mechanical completion knowledge of piping systems – CWS, Process water, HVAC ductwork, etc. for both liquid and air-cooled facilitiesWet fire system commissioningQA/QC knowledge with in-progress inspection system understanding. In-depth equipment start-Up knowledge with pre-requisitesPunch listing issues and managing same to closure. Sequence of operation interpretation and executionSystem integration managementLoad testing experience. Loop check/ point to point testing management (4-20mA, 0-10V)Ability to use test equipment. Documentation management. Preservation knowledge. Show your expertise:
Bachelor's degree or extensive trade background in engineering (5+ years' post qualification experience)Must have thorough knowledge in base discipline with excellent working knowledge of other disciplines required to deliver technically advanced data centre MEP systems. 5+ Years of experience in "hands-on" commissioning and commissioning management with thorough knowledge of commissioning technically advanced electrical systems and interfaces, ideally gained with CxA, vendor, GC, etc.
