Mechanical Design Engineer - Data Centres Datacenter People is working with a leading colocation data center operator. What the Job Involves Manage and deliver the mechanical work packages in multiple concurrent projects, either in the UK or internationally. Identify the scope, design and management objectives and deliver project documentation, ensuring the quality and flow of information required for contractors, vendors and regulatory authorities. Plan, organise, manage and where appropriate create work packages to include technical specifications, reports, calculations and drawings/models appropriate to the relevant level of detail. Assist the project manager in the preparation/review of project costs, risk assessments and progress monitoring. Develop and maintain vendor relationships ensuring continuous technical professional development; review contractor pre-qualifications and prepare tender evaluation summaries for tender reviews. We're Looking for Someone Who A BEng (Hons) or MEng in Building Services / Mechanical Engineering. Relevant working experience in mechanical design. Good knowledge of standard practices in the design and construction of mission critical facilities. An entrepreneurial, result-oriented, proactive individual with a positive flexible and problem-solving attitude.
