The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills: MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL ENGINEER – ELECTRICAL ROUTING INTEGRATION – ROLLING STOCK Location: Florence area Role Overview: The selected resource will be directly engaged in the engineering project activities, with increasing levels of autonomy and responsibility, and will give support to Electrical Routing Integration activities and deliverables, within the perimeter of projects and tenders of his/her own assignment, applying appropriate instructions, processes and tools.
Tasks: Defining requirements and mechanical electrical interfaces for cable routing/harnesses, cable tray, electrical cabinets/panels/racks etc; Performing 3D/2D drawings and design annotations for Electrical Routing Integration activities and updating them basing on Change Requests; Integrating and validating the harnesses designs, checking coherence of allocated volumes/weight/location/interfaces with project requirements and solving any emerging technical issues within Electrical Routing Integration domain; Reporting on the Electrical Routing Integration domain activities progress and alerting about issues potentially impacting achievement of quality targets; Compiling Bill of Materials; Building training materials, work instructions, lessons learned documents based on the work packages/projects executed and previous experience.
Work Experience Qualification Specialized Knowledge / Skills: BSc / MSc Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; Minimum experience in Mechanical / Electrical Design and Harness Design within Railways / Rolling Stock domain would be advantageous; Good command of electrical and mechanical workbenches such as Part Design, Sheet Metal, Electrical Harness Design/Assembly within CATIA V5 environment, and PLM platform like Enovia to create 3D models, 2D drawings and product structure; Knowledge of electrical systems and components like cable trays/supports, contactors, connectors, relays, servo motors, drives etc; Knowledge on Rail industry standards; Commitment, precision, flexibility, reliability; Excellent documentation and presentation skills; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent team-work attitude; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Availability for business travels (short long term travels); Able to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment, meeting strict deadlines; Good command of English language (i. e.
