Mechanical / Electrical Engineering Technician, Data CenterDESCRIPTIONIl team Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) è alla ricerca di ingegneri e tecnici in grado di implementare, gestire e mantenere gli impianti tecnologici (sistemi elettrici/meccanici, sistemi di controllo/antincendio, ecc. )

e gestire i progetti nei nostri data center - critical infrastructure facilities. Come membro di questo team, avrai la possibilità di lavorare in un ambiente dinamico con opportunità di espansione. Il ruolo richiede una persona motivata e autonoma, con spirito di iniziativa e che cerchi in modo proattivo soluzioni a problemi tecnici complessi in ambito di ingegneria meccanica ed elettrica (ME); gestisce sistemi quali generatori diesel, UPS, quadri distribuzione, condizionamento, chiller, sistemi di rilevamento incendi e monitoraggio edificio (BMS).

The successful candidate will be accountable for:Setting and maintaining the highest standards for safety and actively promoting a world-class safety culture in all aspects of operational procedureDriving continuous improvement efforts on infrastructure through standardization of procedures and policies, while delivering performance against agreed metricsEnabling the operations organization to deliver 100% up-time on all customer supporting infrastructureCollaborating effectively with internal external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence for all AWS customersResponsible for ensuring that the preventive maintenance of site-critical facility infrastructure is planned and executed to the highest standards, in accordance to AWS proceduresIn charge of facility monitoring supervision (via BMS, PMS, Walkthrough. . . etc.

)Participation in the successful delivery of build-out and retrofit of Data Center infrastructureEnsuring organizational capability to react respond appropriately to any potential customer-impacting event on any component of electrical or mechanical infrastructureReviewing incident reports, documenting periodic trend summaries, and providing updates and recommended actions to managementDraft, update maintain method statements, standard operating procedures, emergency response procedures, preventive maintenance programs, and all technical documentation pertaining to DCEOKey job responsibilities:Oversee maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipmentPerform root cause analysis of equipment failuresTroubleshooting of facility and rack-level eventsEnsure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing workWork 8 hours, 5 days in a weekTake daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipmentManagement of external vendorsBASIC QUALIFICATIONSApprentice/trades certified or diploma in an Electrical field with practice theoretical knowledge in key electrical competencies, and/or knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls)Ability to draft accurate support procedures, compile system documentation, and issue tracking entries while taking full ownership of technical issuesDriving license valid in Italy and willing to travel between data center sites, and internationally if requiredPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS3+ years of experience in operations and on-call support for Data Center facilities / or Mission Critical Plants/ Production facilitiesAn undergraduate degree in a technical field (EE, MechE, IndustrialE); Project Management experienceSolid IT skills; experience and knowledge of MS Office suiteAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
