InPost covers the Italian market with a network of 5000 PUDOs (Pick Up and Drop Off points) and 3000 fully automated parcel lockers (that are accessible 24/7) enabling customers to collect, send and return parcels at their earliest convenience. We're looking for people with drive and curiosity, who will join us in re-writing the norm About the role: The Media Relations Specialist is responsible for managing and enhancing the public image of the organization by establishing and maintaining effective relationships with press and journalists. The role involves creating and implementing media strategies, coordinating media outreach, preparing press materials, and acting as the primary point of contact for media inquiries coordinating the PR agency. This position is crucial in ensuring that the organization's messaging is accurately communicated and well-received by the public through various media channels. The position is a direct report to the brand marketing manager. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive media relations strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives. Identify media opportunities, trends, and potential risks that could impact the organization's reputation. Press Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for all media inquiries, coordinating the PR agency. Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and other media professionals. Coordinate interviews, press conferences, and media events. Content Creation: Suggest PR topics, review, edit and coordinate the distribution of press releases, media kits, and other public relations materials. Collaborate with internal teams to generate compelling story ideas and newsworthy content. Ensure consistent messaging across all communications and media materials. Crisis Communications: Assist in the development and implementation of crisis communication plans. Act as a key player in crisis situations, ensuring clear and accurate communication with the media. Prepare spokespersons with key messaging and media training during crisis events. Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to stay informed on company initiatives and updates that may require media outreach. Event Support: Assist in planning and promoting company events that require media coverage. Coordinate logistics for media attendance and ensure smooth execution of events from a media relations perspective. Social Media Engagement: Support social media efforts related to media campaigns, including the distribution of press releases and media coverage through social channels. Work with the digital marketing team to amplify media coverage and maintain a strong online presence. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. 5 years of experience in media relations, public relations, or journalism. Proven track record of securing media coverage and managing media relations. Experience in crisis communications is a plus. Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in media monitoring tools and PR software.
