Position SummaryThe Medical Advisor for strategic projects will be responsible for the design and execution of key strategies and tactics to achieve long term strategic partnerships with key accounts assigned, critical to Alexions business. This role is expected to work across all customer segments to optimize the patient journey. The position, with the support of each therapeutic area medical colleague, will directly oversee activities related to patient journey analysis and identifying opportunities which allow the implementation of the activities related to patients journey optimization. The role will be primarily field based.

Principal Responsibilities Build strategic account relationships with National Reference Centers and other key national accounts enabling a sustainable longterm scientific partnership with AlexionAnalyze the patient journey in each therapeutic areaThrough cross functional working and in line with the approved medical plans, develop strategic account projects for each center, identifying short term and longterm activities to optimize the patients journey and determining the resourcing required, with clear actions for multiple stakeholders with responsibility for the account. Works effectively across the matrix to ensure clear understanding of the patient journey for the relevant TAMaintain a stakeholder matrix and database of key contactsDevise strategies and tactics to prepare Alexion for competition in ItalyExhibit customer focus and ability to understand our customers and patients needs by engaging in a continuous learning journey that yields actionable insight on all the therapeutic areas of interestEnsure activities are in line with Company policies and procedures Qualifications +5 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry in commercial functionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationshipsFamiliarity and existing relationships with key stakeholdersProven projects management experience Experience in one or more of the following fields highly desirable: Hematology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Bone Disorders, Lysosomal Storage DisordersExperience in orphan diseases is preferredSound knowledge of medical products distribution processHigh level of ethics and integrityAbility to travel extensively within assigned region Education Bachelors degree in science or business requiredMasters degree in a scientific discipline highly required
