**_Chiesi Global Rare Diseases_
- Chiesi Global Rare Diseases is a Chiesi Group's business unit established in February 2020 and focused on research, development and commercialization of treatments and patient support services for rare and ultra-rare disorders, many of whom have limited or no treatments available. - The unit is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, and has an initial focus on research and product development for lysosomal storage diseases, rare hematology and ophthalmology disorders.
The unit is also a dedicated partner with global leaders in scientific research, patient advocacy and care.
**Purpose
We are currently seeking qualified and highly motivated individuals for the position of Medical Affairs Operations specialist, EU&EM, reporting to the Head of Medical Affairs EU&EM - Global Rare Disease Business Unit.

**Main Responsibilities
- Support the annual planning process for EU&EM Med Affairs team, including budget planning and periodic tracking, and the collection of performance measures
- Contribute to development of integrated EU&EM medical affairs plans, and lead development of tracking and reporting systems for both regional and Country key-deliverables
- Provide project management support across the EU&EM medical affairs' rare disease organization in support of on-time execution of key deliverables
- Responsible for management of all processes related to interactions and collaborations with Healthcare Providers and Healthcare Organizations, including management of contracts, sponsorship agreements, grants for education and research initiatives
- Support the development of policies and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure compliance; record and maintain all relevant medical procedures
- Coordinate and act as main reference point for relevant medical affairs processes at regional level such as the coordination and tracking of approval flow for local IIS and local Chiesi-sponsored studies and the management of the relevant associated databases
- Provide further operational support to specific programs as needed
**Experience Required
2+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Experience in operations and/or project management within the biotech industry is preferred; direct experience in medical affairs operations will be considered an asset
**Education
Completion of a graduate level degree
**Languages
Fluent in written and spoken English
**Skills
- Proven project planning and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in combination with great attention to detail as well as the ability to prioritize in a changing environment with a sense of urgency
- Strong interpersonal skills in developing, maintaining and influencing stakeholder relationships (internal and external)
- Proven ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries and to work effectively on multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to work independently and with flexibility to handle work-flow in a fast-paced environment
- Maintains a positive attitude when under pressure or during challenging situations
- Proactively seeks feedback and continuously strive to improve performance and expand professional skills
