Primary Responsibilities
Our Medical Affairs Scientist (MAS) leads and executes medical strategies for demonstration and communication of the therapeutic value of assigned Pfizer products in healthcare and for the optimization of patient outcomes in Cardiovascular and Migraine Therapy. - The Medical Affairs Scientist (MAS) will join the Internal Medicine BU Medical Team and will be responsible for Cardiovascular and Migraine medicines in selected regions of Italy. - The MAS will play a central role as a scientific leader though identifying unmet medical needs, building medical plan and establishing evidence. - The MAS will use a science-based and customer-focused approach to advance medical engagement, clinical research, data generation and co-creation of innovative solutions based on customer needs. - The MAS will report to the Cardiovascular and Migraine MAS Line Manager.
The key responsibilities in this role include:
- Patient first: great opportunity to partnerships with healthcare providers to improve the patient's health- Leadership: managing and inspiring internal and external stakeholders, acting as the scientific point of contact for HCPs, academia, and other external stakeholders, leading medical to medical communication in the therapeutic area, driving personalized interactions across multiple channels and building enduring relationships with key stakeholders and institutions- Actively identifying data gaps for pipelines assets and actively collaborating with Medical Affairs Data Expert and Health & Value colleagues in generation of value-based data strategies and plans. - Transform our "go to market model": act as critical change agent leveraging on medical and scientific capabilities- Integrity: Act as a key contributor to ensure company's high ethical medical standards and compliance, ensure awareness of responsibility for reporting adverse events
What you offer
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Higher academic degree in the relevant scientific area (MD/ PharmD or PhD)- Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to deliver scientific and strategic messages- Knowledge of the Code of Ethics and relevant regulations: understanding of compliance and relevant laws/regulations in the pharmaceutical industry and advocates the appropriate use of the products. - A person who is able to quickly acquire necessary medical/scientific knowledge and skills though self-learning- Functional English plus local language- Strong team-work attention and ability- Ability to travel as required for on-site visits with external as well as internal stakeholders across assigned regions and internationally and/or digital capabilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- MD (clinical experience, board certification preferred)- Research experience preferred- Scientific publication experience preferred- Medical/pharmaceutical expert knowledge of therapeutic disease
