Pfizer is hiring a Talented, Innovative, Medical Affairs Scientist (MAS) in Public Health & Prevention in Vaccines Medical Affairs Department.
The hiring of the Medical Affairs Scientist (MAS) PE & P fits the iTALent purpose, providing a rare growth and development opportunity to guide a comprehensive understanding of the value of our vaccine portfolio from a public health and epidemiology perspective.
The Medical Affairs Scientist (MAS) PE & P will report to the Vaccines Medical Director.
Why Patients Need You- Medical Affairs Scientist (MAS) PE & P will join VACCINES BU Medical Team and will be responsible for all the vaccines portfolio- The MAS Customer Engagement will play a central role as a scientific leader though provide input from a public heath perspective in the medical team to support the Development and Execution of the Medical Plan aligned with the medical strategy- Provide medical affair leadership to develop and support, from an epidemiological and public health point of view, the value of our vaccine portfolio, from the pipeline to the post-approval in country Lyfe Cycle Management (LCM).

Primary Responsibilities- Develop and Execute the Medical Plan aligned with the medical strategy to meet unmet medical needs- Provide medical affair leadership to develop and support, from an epidemiological and public health point of view, the value of our vaccine portfolio, from the pipeline to the post-approval in country Lyfe Cycle Management (LCM). - Medical stakeholders management as a scientific expert for HCPs, Public Health representatives, medical societies, academia, and other relevant organizations, establishing a highly reliable, long-term relationship- Responsible for monitoring and updating epidemiological surveillance data at international, national and regional level for the infectious diseases of interest- Provides input and management for epidemiological RWE data generation in collaboration with the local team- Provide meaningful input to develop scientific related content from a public health perspective, to be shared in XF settings. - Observe the code of conduct, company's regulations, and compliance, appropriate communication with related departments- Ensure awareness of responsibility for reporting adverse events- Drive data generation strategy based on medical strategies and data gap analysis
What You Offer
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- MD (clinical experience, board certification preferred) /PhD in Life Science, Public Health or epidemiology- Capable of scientific/medical/epidemiological discussion with relevant departments and external HCPs in the public health environment- A person who understands compliance and relevant laws/regulations in the pharmaceutical industry and advocates the appropriate use of the products. - Can demonstrate appropriate knowledge and understanding of internal organization structure, key stakeholders and strategies- A person who is able to quickly acquire necessary medical/scientific knowledge and skills though self-learning- Able to understand written and spoken English in assigned therapeutic disease area, and scientific interactions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- MD (clinical experience, board certification preferred) /PhD in Life Science is preferred. - Training and/or experience in Epidemiology, Hygiene and Public Health- Research experience preferred- Scientific publication experience preferred- Medical/pharmaceutical expert knowledge of therapeutic disease area/ products- Functional English plus local language
