Medical Compliance Advisor co-operates with Medical Compliance Lead (MCL) in order to:
- Guarantee that all processes are in line with the AstraZeneca Global Policies, associated standards and local regulatory codes and legislation.
- Review locally agreed activities as defined by local SOPs and to provide system support.
- Support the review and approval of promotional, relevant non promotional materials and activities linked to promotion, interactions with Health Care Professional and Organisations, to ensure compliance with Astrazeneca Global Policies, associated standards and local legislation.
**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Medical Compliance Advisor supports the MCL for the final approval of different materials and activities, including but not limited to the following ones:
- Events (eg congresses, advisory boards) organised by other MCs in Italy, or participation of Italian HCPs to international events)
- Advisory boards
- Scientific exchange meeting
- Investigators meetings
- Training materials
- Material used during the cycle meetings
- Materials used during the inter-cycles
- Promotional and other materials used for the interaction with HCPs
- Non promotional health educational material, when appropriate
- Market Research
- Slides and other material used by the Field Medical Advisors
- Participation of Field Force to AZ events
- Medical utility items
- Medical and scientific contents posted in fully AZ sponsored websites, as well as in the AZ website
- Digital activities
- Donation/sponsorship/editorial Project
The Medical Compliance Advisor co-operates with the MCL for update or preparation of the standard operation procedures, in charge of Medical Compliance, in response to the needs of the Italian Marketing Company to improve the processes in respect of the Global policies.
They are accountable for verifying institutional donation and sponsorship materials to ensure that documents are complete and in line with the procedural requirements (due diligence); monitoring the main steps and performing the follow up activities as requested by the relevant SOPs.
**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Requested:
- Degree/ Advanced Degree Pharmacy/Medical/Science
- Pharmaceutical/life sciences or healthcare experience
- Experience of working within environments where there are processes, codes of practice, procedures and guidance.
No specific National legislation or codes exist in Italy for this role.
Knowledge:
A comprehensive understanding of AZ business policies, procedures and guidance such as that on product promotion and scientific exchange of information regulations.
A working understanding of relevant legislation and external codes of practise relating to promotional activities.
