Medical Head General Medicines Italy (m/f/d) Location: Milano, Italy Job Type: Permanent Travel: 30% expected About the Job: As the Italy Medical Head, General Medicines, you are part of the Leadership Team and will shape the country medical strategy & operational medical plans for an exciting & innovative portfolio, in alignment with the global and local strategy.

You will be responsible for improving medical capabilities according to the current and future needs of the company and the market, achieving medical leadership and competitive advantage in Italy, and realizing our vision: to improve public health by finding healthcare solutions for patients and through the appropriate and effective use of our products, medical devices, and services utilizing the highest ethical and compliance standards.

Main Responsibilities: Drive the medical strategy and activities for prelaunch and launch of innovative products, ensuring optimal life cycle management for all products.

Ensure all necessary conditions are met in terms of medical strategy, planning, and resourcing for successful launch of transformative therapies in autoimmune T1D and Transplant areas.

Build a scientific ecosystem in Italy, leveraging partnerships with relevant scientific and institutional stakeholders.

Provide strategic leadership for the medical function in Italy and partner with the business to co-create a coherent strategic action plan.

Leverage Real World data and deploy Artificial Intelligence and digital enablers to generate evidence and insights.

Develop a compelling vision for Medical Affairs in Italy aligned with global medical strategy and business objectives.

Lead optimization and execution of affiliate medical plans that maximize product value.

Manage proactively the country medical budget and propose appropriate resource allocation for medical initiatives.

About You: Strong track record in developing and executing medical strategy in Italy and leading a sizable medical affairs function.

Strong compliance background.

Demonstrated track record of building and maintaining a strong KOL (Key Opinion Leader) network in Italy.

Experience in working across and building effective partnerships among R&D, Commercial, Medical, Market Access, Public Affairs, Safety, and Regulatory.

Education: Scientific background (e. g. , Medical Degree, PhD, PharmD; MD preferred).

Oral and written fluency in Italian and English.
