Melflufen is indicated in combination with dexamethasone for the treatment of adult patients with multiple myeloma who have received at least three prior lines of therapies, whose disease is refractory to at least one proteasome inhibitor, one immunomodulatory agent, and one anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody, and who have demonstrated disease progression on or after the last therapy. For patients with a prior autologous stem cell transplantation, the time to progression should be at least 3 years from transplantation. Following successful approval from AIFA / the Italian Medicinal Agency, we are currently looking for: Position Summary: The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) acts as Oncopeptides' first point of contact in the field for external stakeholders, including key opinion leaders (KOL), hemato-oncologists in the hospital, pharmacists, and nurses. The role will provide continuous medical updates and scientific information/education on Oncopeptides' products and relevant indications, position and differentiate Melflufen within the Multiple Myeloma treatment landscape, and contribute to the development and execution of Oncopeptides' overall company strategy, e. g. , by continuously seeking HCP's feedback, needs & requirements, and project ideas - and for relevant insights from the overall Hematology treatment landscape. This role will also be instrumental in developing, implementing, and executing customer- and patient-focused medical projects, scientific events, and activities. The MSL reports into the Medical Affairs Team Lead Italy. Key Responsibilities: Develop therapeutic expertise and build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders for the Northern Territories of Italy. Create and implement tailored customer engagement plans and patient-focused solutions. Organise/support medical activities: workshops, advisory boards, medical projects, and early access programmes. Establish Melflufen as a leading treatment for relapsed/refractory Multiple Myeloma and other hematologic conditions. Identify key customers, develop account plans, and establish collaborative projects. Maintain relationships with KOLs and healthcare professionals, ensuring ongoing scientific exchange. Map patient journeys to identify barriers and collaboration opportunities. Monitor clinical trends, guidelines, and policies to gather actionable insights. Respond to medical enquiries and support clinical research, including real-world data and investigator-initiated trials. Qualifications and Skills: 5 years' experience in medical affairs, field-based roles, or account management in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Established networks in Haematology or Multiple Myeloma preferred. Advanced scientific degree or strong medical background preferred. Knowledge of national regulatory, legal, and compliance standards. Strong communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills. Proven business acumen and ability to build cross-functional networks. Comprehensive understanding of the Italian healthcare market. Fluent in Italian and English; driven by Oncopeptides' values of Science, Trust, Courage, Collaboration, and Passion.
