Medical Science Liaison - New Team Build - Oncology Immunotherapy (Solid Tumor) Italy & Southern EU
IQVIA's international medical affairs team is looking for 10 experienced MSLs (Medical Scientific Liaison) on behalf of a clinical-stage immunotherapy company targeting complementary mechanisms to fight cancer, including checkpoint inhibitors, immune activators, and tumor microenvironment conditioning agents.
Their portfolio consists of bio-engineered therapies designed to activate the body's own defences to fight cancer.
These therapies are optimized through an integrated, proprietary active learning platform designed to deliver better drugs, optimized combinations, and predictive biomarkers to address critical unmet needs in cancer.
As part of an EU team build - including Medical Directors and MSL - this **field-based pipeline MSL position** represents an exciting opportunity to join the organisation as they grow into the ex-US market.
**_ Requirements:_
- Highly motivated, experienced pharma industry MSL with demonstrable success
- Deep oncology therapy area knowledge essential, ideally within solid tumors or immunotherapy
- Experience of working as a 'pipeline' MSL, or in another role within the clinical trials environment would be highly desirable
- Outstanding communication and engagement skills
- Strong scientific background - ideally PhD, PharmD, MD or MSc
- Eligible to work in this country full time
- Full driving license
- Willing to work in the field (i. e.
at clinical trial sites) ~70% of the time, with the remaining 30% engaging remotely from home.
**_ Responsibilities:_
- Provide field-based medical support to the company's clinical research programs
- Deliver credible presentations on scientific matters in the disease area of responsibility and about the company pipeline to investigators in company-sponsored interventional research
- Engage with clinical trial site investigators and staff to understand enrolment/screening barriers from a medical perspective, and work with the site and client to find potential medical solutions with the aim of supporting clinical trial enrolment
- Provide support to company clinical development and operations teams through site recommendations, initiation visits, facilitation of communication, and accrual support activities
- In an accurate, fair and balanced manner, exchange scientific information with external parties
- Report field intelligence to IQVIA/Client including competitive information, perspectives about compounds, and the treatment landscape
- Establish and maintain a close working relationship with site management & monitoring staff and partner in facilitating the initiation and conduct of prioritized company clinical trials.
