Medium Tractor Cost Manager

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
The role of Platform Cost Manager is to drive all activities related to Product Cost definition on both Current and New Products Developments.
Owner of cost related KPI, he/she provides clear reporting and analysis on product cost, aligning with Brands, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing and Purchasing, to support and steer product evolution
He/she supports the product development core team, leading the process to deliver technical cost estimates for components, tooling and labour, in time for the Project Milestones calendar.
Key player to support and drive platform profitability targets.
The position reports directly to the Platform Manager
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive and own product cost budget definition and achievements and presenting to the Team and Management supporting a solid financial business continuity.
- He/she is the cost-sparring partner to other related Business Units (Manufacturing, Product Development, Quality, etc.
), creating financial simulation and analysis to support go/no go decision on product evolution (make/buy decision, volumes definition, . . )
- Optimise product cost plan through identification and consolidation of ideas/proposal, promoting and developing cost comparative analysis, setting up right priorities
- In this role he/she will proactively manage the cost performance of the assigned Product Line, defining, driving and coordinating the actions required together with the Platform Management.
- Support New Program development cost related tasks, from configuration monitoring to delta cost analysis, including cost target definition
YOUR KEY COMPETENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor/Master Degree in technical/ financial disciplines or equivalent work experience
- Previous assignment in Finance, Cost Management or Controlling is a plus
- Entrepreneurial mindset, passionate for numbers and profit
- Project management experience
- Availability for short term European travels
OTHER INFORMATION:
- Be customer focused and results oriented, with a "Can-do" attitude and the ability to work multi-task in a high volume, fast-pace work environment with mínimal supervision
- Self-motivated, independently able to manage workload, excellent time management skills, able to relate well to a diverse multidiscipline development team
- Good interpersonal & written communication skills at all levels from shopfloor to senior management - able to demonstrate good team player skills
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking
- Agricultural Machinery emphasis is a Bonus, experience in the automotive sector appreciated
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.
)
- Language requirements: Fluent Italian and English, additional languages are welcome.
