- The Publisher Solutions team provides breakthrough podcasting technology for advertisers and publishers through Megaphone.
We connect publishers with tools to monetize premium audio and connect advertisers with unparalleled access to a diverse listenership.
Spotify is looking for an Associate Manager to join our Publisher Solutions team.
This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to join a close-knit and smart team of a rapidly growing product.
What You'll Do
- Lead Italian and Spanish business development and publisher engagement
- Drive adoption of Megaphone and Spotify Audience Network with a focus on the top Italian and Spanish podcast publishers.
- Identify, forge and nurture strategic relationships within the podcast space.
- Lead and manage deal lifecycles to ensure continued growth for Megaphone and participation in the Spotify Audience Network.
- Lead, train and develop Italian and Spanish Publisher Development team.
- Effectively engage and communicate with internal business partners, including Head of EMEA, Product, Engineering, Customer Experience, Sales and Marketing.
- Communicate market trends and industry shifts, including implications and recommendations, to internal and external business partners.
- Effectively evaluate new business opportunities, analyze competitors, recommend strategies, and lead proposals and face-to-face negotiations to win new business.
- You are based in Italy, ideally in Milan.
Who You Are
- Honesty and integrity - getting the last penny out of every deal isn't a requirement but dealing fairly and honestly with every partner is.
- Deep understanding of technology and proficient at demonstrating the Megaphone product.
- Rolls up their sleeves and does any job necessary to help grow the business.
- Understands that relationships are critical.
- Demonstrates passion for the podcast industry and understands how podcasts are created, consumed and make money.
- Likes being part of a team and is adept at building strong working relationships across business functions (i. e.
Technology, Sales, Marketing and Finance).
- Keen to hop on a train or plane to help build a relationship or close a deal face to face.
- Enthusiastic about being a face of the company and delivering keynote speeches at industry conferences or representing the business at podcast festivals.
- Bachelor's degree
- 8+ years of sales, business management and people management experience; consumer technology, start up, ad-tech or digital media sales, preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational and people skills.
- Proficient at reading, understanding and negotiating contracts.
- Fluent Italian, Spanish and English language, spoken and written is required
