Mep Manager - Electrical Plant
HILL is expanding in Italy; we are looking for a New Data Centre project in Milan region: MEP Manager – Electrical Plant Reporting: Project Construction Manager Location: Milano – Italy (On-site presence during construction will be required. )
Project Duration: minimum 3 years The MEP Manager will oversee all aspects of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure project success.
The expert will diligently coordinate MEP contractor obligations, identify, and address potential threats to project timelines, and implement corrective actions in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
Additionally, the MEP Manager will liaise with statutory authorities and utility providers, provide guidance on site logistics, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Regular briefings, site walks, and oversight of change management processes are integral to this role, along with monitoring the performance of all project stakeholders.
The MEP Manager will ensure MEP consultants fulfill their contractual obligations and oversee the supervision consultant's responsibilities for site inspections and approvals.

Qualifications: University Degree in Electrical Engineering A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction Previous experience in the construction of at least one data center Fluency in the Italian and English languages Previous experience in a multinational environment or in project management in construction will be considered an asset.
The main working station will be in Milan, but the role requires frequent visits on site, so a valid driving license is mandatory.
Certifications in the field of project management will be considered a plus.
BIM/REVIT knowledge will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate the construction procurement process related to his discipline.
Advise the project manager of circumstances that may or will affect the delivery of long-lead items related to his discipline and/or cost and take remedial measures, subject to the approval of the client.
Manage and coordinate the discharge of MEP contractor obligations as defined in the construction contracts and all external influences likely to affect project delivery on a daily basis.
In the event of a potential threat to the project completion dates, identify, in consultation with the supervision consultant and the quantity surveyor, remedial measures to correct them and provide recommendations to the senior project manager.
Implement such measures, subject to the approval of the employer.
Manage and coordinate the discharge of MEP consultants' duties as defined in the construction contracts and the consultancy agreements.
Manage liaison by the project team with relevant statutory authorities and utility providers.
Advise on site logistics related to MEP items.
Monitor and confirm that the MEP contractors establish and implement acceptable safety plans.
Monitor the performance of the AE Team, Contractor and Client's vendors and report to the Employer.
Conduct regular briefing meetings to advise the MEP contractor of the roles of all parties associated with the project, reporting procedures, information flow, and project status.
Undertake regular site walks to promote and observe safety and progress.
Report and track any corrective actions through to timely completion.
Assist in the change management process.
Manage and coordinate the discharge by the supervision consultant of its duties with regard to site inspections, mock-ups, sample approvals, and the like for all related MEP issues.
Verify the preparation of defects and punch lists as provided by the supervision consultant, and monitor and confirm that these are undertaken by the contractors in a timely manner.
