On behalf of our customer, a multinational and fast-growing company, we are recruiting the following profile to join their office in Milan:

MERCHANDISE PLANNER / MILAN

Duties and responsibilities:

- Be responsible to create, follow up and ensure adherence by all stakeholders to collection development timetable, and collection range plan

- Plans and forecasts for future buys based on historical sales, reoccurring buys and current inventory levels.

- Identify gaps and opportunities, deliver plans and forecasts for future buys and current inventory levels

- Responsible for reviewing stock to sales ratios, responding to changing sales trends

- Plans and coordinates merchandise flow-through.

Inputs and maintains data in various merchandising systems.

- Seasonal planning: working closely with the board to understand the seasonal direction, the potential opportunities within the collection and create a range plan for the product team

- Forecasting & re-ordering: regular inventory analysis to ensure appropriate levels are maintained throughout the season.

Collaborate with the product team to ensure that adequate raw materials are placed on core fabrics and trims, ahead of the close of wholesale sales.

- Trading stock/replenishments: monitor and track stock levels vs. sales for the e-comm and wholesale channel on a weekly basis to identify opportunities for trading stock to ensure back-up stock is fully potentialized throughout the season

- Be responsible of review end of season stock levels and strategically plan the off price stock

- Determine purchase commitments across multiple order dates and optimize inventory flow

- At least 4-5 years' experience in merchandise planning/luxury stock control role gained in Fashion field

- Strong analytical approach is mandatory

- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills are required

- Great commercial acumen, with the ability to think to the whole picture

- Attention to details, accuracy and a methodical approach complete the profile

- Fluent in English and Italian
