What will you work on?
As the Brand Marketing Manager, you will be a part of the Milan Marketing Team, reporting directly to the Milan Brand Marketing Director.
This role will be responsible for:
- Identifying the people, communities & organizations that best align to our brand values and can serve as the human face of our brand on the ground in one of our key cities.
Then managing these meaningful relationships in a robust yet sustainable fashion.
- Deliver local stories through hyper-local content, storytelling, and inspiration using our relationships that have the potential to inspire global movements.
- Executing our local Purpose marketing strategy & programs, partnering closely with key local athletes to use our combined platforms to make a difference.
- Working with agency partners to implement targeted storytelling leveraging our relationships on the ground, and driving IRL experiences for our most engaged members through owned and partner channels.
Agile roles are intended to create the flexibility required in the organization.
This role is agile in a few key ways:
- The role goes across all sport performance/lifestyle dimensions, sport & cultural moments and new areas that may not exist or we do not support yet.
This allows us to be flexible and to remain fully committed to adapting at the pace of our consumer, to ultimately serve them better
- As brand-defining concepts emerge from Global/EMEA, in order to have an impact in the cities that shift trends, this role may execute local extensions of such key concepts
Who will you work with?
Besides working across the full Milan Marketing Team, you will also work cross-functionally in the Milan office with key partners such as Sports Marketing, SCI, and Consumer Insights in service of our athletes, consumers and members.
And you will of course build strong relationships with key partners in the city - a collection of the faces & organisations that we believe best represent our brand.
What you bring to Nike?
Essential requirements:
- Proven experience in marketing, with a strong focus on cross-functional marketing.
- Prior experience in category, brand narrative, or account brand marketing, able to define and understand the full spectrum of the city consumer, and a desire to better connect with them on all dimensions of sport performance and lifestyle.
- A proven track record of connecting with our consumer through insight-led execution of cross-functional brand marketing campaigns
- Proven experience identifying, owning and managing external relationships with individuals and organisations, aligned to Nike's strategic objectives
- Being fluent in the Italian language will be important to effectively own and manage external relationships.
- Prior marketing experience in Milan and a demonstrable understanding of the consumer, the city and Nike's position within it
