The Consumer Experience Organization (CX) is looking for an independent, creative, and open-minded individual to join as Motor Control Team Leader.
The exciting thing about this role, besides the development and maintenance of Inverter electronic platforms for Food Preservation Appliances, is the international work environment.
As Motor Control Team Leader, you will work closely with colleagues from all over the world, understanding different realities, cultures and people, as well as being part of an open-minded Team, where creativity is welcome, and innovation is the middle name.
The position belongs to the Global Technology Center for Food Preservation and sits within the Electronic Development Team which is expanding to create next generation electronics.
All electronic controls are developed and maintained from the beginning through the entire lifecycle, while the qualification testing can be performed both in Electrolux facilities as well as in external laboratories.
What is more, in addition, HW development and SW development teams are co-located in Susegana and Anderson, SC.
The Team works within Group Technology Organization, CX area.
You will develop and promote an efficient development approach into the organization, in agreement with the Power Electronics Competency strategies.
You will also be part of the team working in a matrix department, building strong and valid relationships with central GTO & other R&D functions.
You will be based in Electrolux CX office in Susegana (TV), Italy.
In our office you will work together with hundreds of people from different functions, and various nationalities, with the common goal to create the technologies of the future.
Key assignments in this role will be to:
- He/she will be responsible to deliver Inverter strategy for the product category following the Global strategy and priorities assigned
- He/she will be responsible of the inverter component approval for the product category design in agreement with Global Component Strategy
- He/she will contribute on the Global Inverter Development
- Support the definition of resource & budget planning according to Product Line Project Portfolio and GEO Project Portfolio (NEXUS)
- Build FPS Motor Control Team in alignment with GEO
- Monitor the project portfolio to identify gaps in technology, skills or resources and reporting them to his/her managers
- Accountable of the delivery of project portfolio by product category team and GEO, accordingly to priority defined
- Adopt tools, assign physical and human resources, skills and training needs to have a High-Performance Delivery Team in place, according with Global Competency Leader, in line with global GEO strategy on organization footprint, skillset, tools and processes.
- Guarantee design and execution accordingly to Unified Electronic Hardware/SW/Motor Control Architecture guidelines, tools and processes,
- Guarantee that the local Teams (reporting to him) deliver in compliance with GEO global inverter strategy
- Manage INV HW care CX FPS activities
- Manage INV laboratory and dedicated equipment
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or similar.
- Team management skills
- Committed to quality & cost optimal design
- Open minded, results oriented
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Motor Control
- Power electronics & motor driving techniques competence
- Knowledge in embedded system with microcontroller is a plus
- Electric motor architecture knowledge
- Knowledge of MATLAB, Simulink
- Ability in circuit design and simulation with PSpice is a plus
- Knowledge of laboratory instruments like power meter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.
- Basic knowledge of IEC and UL Standards is a plus
- Basic knowledge of electronic supplier manufacturing set up and processes
- Basic knowledge of HW and SW Validation, including environmental and EMC testing
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Required languages: Fluent English written and spoken.
Fluent Italian is a plus.
