A completed Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- Proven direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment
- Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniques
- Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations

If so, the AMXL operations team is looking for an experienced leader with a strong record of achieving results, to run regional operations.
The role requires heavy index on Customer Obsession, Hire and Develop the Best, Invent and Simplify and Deliver Results.
The AMXL Operations Manager is responsible for all budgetary, people development and operations objectives for multiple EU AMXL sites.
Additional responsibilities include managing and leading a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations and building leadership bench strength within the organization.
The leader in this role must be high on customer obsession, be nimble, demonstrate high judgment, make quick decisions in the face of ambiguity, and be strong in Innovation.
In addition, he/she must lead his or her team to have high Bias for Action, Ownership, and have the ability to Hire and Develop the Best at a very rapid rate.
Customer Obsession - AMXL last mile operations we are closest to our Amazon customers, our DAs interact with our customer on daily basis.
Our leaders need to demonstrate strong customer obsession and also build a culture within the team, which is indexed high on customer focus.
Invent & Simplify - AMXL is a start up inside a large company - leaders must be able to iterate and pivot quickly to avoid roadblocks.
They must also drive towards very aggressive targets without the support of technology and tools they may be accustomed to if they come from established fulfillment organizations, however the expectations of delivery results are paralleled.
Bias for Action, Ownership - The leader in this role must have high levels of Ownership and Bias for Action and must demonstrate the ability to look around corners when making decisions by synthesizing the known information about the program with future roadmaps to ensure decisions will be sound for the immediate state and the future state as software and processes are built out.
Hire and Develop the Best - AMXL Operations leaders have a level of independence and autonomy that is significantly higher at every level than traditional Fulfillment Operations within Amazon.
As an example, hourly leaders are very often the highest level of leader on site, and Area Managers will be Site Leaders in our smallest operations.
In order to foster continued growth, it is critical that our leaders excel at identifying and taking action to fill any developmental gaps in order to sustain the appropriate level of bench strength.
Key job responsibilities
- Drives creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other Lean initiatives to enable their functional area and Delivery station to meet and exceed business plan.
- Responsible for the overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of last mile operations.
- Will set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers.
Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Ops Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments.
- Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and across the network.
- Works closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives.
- MBA and work experience in technical field is highly desired
- Prior experience or use of Lean/Six Sigma
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills complemented with the ability to problem solve independently.
