Responsibilities He/She will be in charge of coordinating the Mechanical Experts team that supports the Service Engineering department in: Mechanical/Thermal modelization for dimensioning/validation of the product internally designed Mechanical Installation/Modification concept design (at both component and train level) Application of F&S and Ecodesign rules to comply with railways normative Update/integration of technical documentation for spare components of old projects (P&R) Supporting supplier for spare components manufacturing The resource will be tasked with translating PrEM's needs into clear deliverables, agreeing on the budget for the activity, planning the deliveries in accordance with the project milestone, and following up the activity exploitation to respect the critical path and prevent delays. He/she will also be involved in the tender phase, to quote the effort needed for the activities required to build the general budget of the project. He/she will be responsible for managing the office workload, allocating the different projects over time to the resources to ensure a regular distribution of the working load without affecting projects by delay and avoiding overload or underload of staff. He/she will also coordinate external resources in case the workload exceeds office capacity. The candidate should be able to lead Mechanical Study for railway applications, which could involve both trains or train sub-components. He/she will coordinate a group of designers leading the concept design through regular gate reviews to consolidate the project in accordance with Rolling Stock or Platforms requirements. Requirements The candidate should have experience or at least base knowledge regarding materials (metallic and plastic), surface and heat treatment, corrosion topics and rules to avoid it, mechanical machining, bending, riveting, bolting, welding, sealing, and non-destructive testing methods. The candidate should have experience or at least base knowledge regarding mechanical construction, Finite Element Analysis, and Thermal Analysis. Experience in the railway field and awareness of railway norms will be considered preferential for candidate evaluation.
