Gorgonzola hosts Navigations Air Systems (NAS) domain.
The activity of NAS domain: avionics, navigation and radar systems for civil air traffic and technologies supporting the activities of civilian and military pilots, ATC controllers and technicians of several airlines, air traffic control agencies and Air Force around the world.
Italy is the Group's Competence center for the design, production and delivery of Navigation Aids products and Competence Centre for the delivery of non-Radar Surveillance Products.
NAS head of Procurement is responsible for all procured aspects of the bids, products and projects for Navaids & Non radar Surveillance products lines within AMS BL.
Those activities are done from Italy (Gorgonzola) and USA (Salt Lake City, Kansas City, Allington ).
NAS Head of Procurement is directly managing a team of 3 PPM located in Italy and USA.
Procurement stakes is about ~ 50M€ / year
The PPM is responsible to provide the best procurement solution (competitiveness, quality, on time delivery), while taking into account the customer's needs and the overall Thales procurement strategy led by the Category Buyers.
NAS head of Procurement is representing Procurement during all NAS management audience (Steerco, Gates at Domain, . . . )

**Missions & Responsabilities
NAS head of Procurement main mission is to develop and promote Thales procurement competitiveness internally as well as externally (customer, consortia, etc. . . ).
His main tasks are:
- To manage a Team of PPMs based in his perimeter
- To setup a procurement team that will provide competitiveness to the NAS business within the Regions
- by involving procurement in the early definition phase of solutions / product so that they are able to challenge the needs / requirements
- by bringing added value from suppliers into the solutions
- by securing delivery from the suppliers in terms of quality and on time delivery
- To coordinate with the Segment and the Regional organizations on:
- The procurement strategies of categories that impact the NAS business
- The resources needed to work the procurement work packages
- The sourcing decisions
- In coordinaton with Supplier Performance and Process & tools teams, to standardize practices and tools over the group procurement
- To monitor the Procurements activities on bids/projects/products and to track competitiveness performance and risks/opportunities on procurement on his/her perimeter
- To contribute to the acquisition MYB of the GBU, by providing the data related to his/her perimeter
- To ensure compliance with the customers contractual requirements and compliance with Thales procurement policy and with the "Manage Acquisition" process of Chorus 2.

NAS is composed of two products lines : Navaids & Non radar surveillance products - today n°1 on the WW market.
Turnover is about 100 Million Euros, with recurrent production of beacons (~300 beacons/year) to be delivered all across the world (NAS has probably one of the biggest customers portfolio within Thales Group).
Also, It is noted that major external growth may happen within NAS at short term/mid term period, that will increase the current figures)
NAS has a full global organization per new Thales Operating model.
NAS organization is global, and key management stakeholders are today located in different places : Managing Director & Industrial Director in Italy, COO in the US, AMS Proc Director in France. . . etc
**Job Requirements (Educati **on, work experience, skills)
Background of Engineer plus an education in Procurement.
An experience in designing solutions for customer is necessary.
Plus a proven track record in procurement management.

Knowledge of bids & projects stakes and main process
Background in Engineering / Technical matters, Project, Industry.
Understanding of the BL business model and of product's lifecycles
