Navigation System Aiv Engineering

**Permanent responsibility**:
Within the System Navigation team and in particular on program related with the Galileo System for EUSPA/ESA, he/she has to contribute to the system Qualification/Validation process by supporting testing campaign in the field of System Functional, Performance, Service Validation areas.
The main activity consists in defining the Review Verification/Service Validation Matrixes, preparing test plans and the test procedures, executing the test, providing the relevant reporting, analysing reports and contributing to the preparation of the final Verification Control Document.

**Task description**:
As Navigation System AIV Engineer, she/he will contribute to the main project under the responsibility of the Navigation Department of Thales Alenia Space in Italy through the following main tasks:
- To support the GNSS System team in the Contract acquisition with different agencies as final customers (ESA, ASI, EUSPA)
- To prepare System Integration and Verification plans for specific Programs, in which the overall System Verification and Qualification aspects are defined, in accordance with the Customers
- To contribute to the execution of the specific plans by contributing to the activities leading to the final System Qualification and Validation
- To contribute to the definition of RVMs, Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Procedures
- To execute, directly and with the collaboration of other technical experts, the test preparation, execution, data collection and analysis of results, finally reporting test results on official Test Reports
- To support the formal process of test execution: discuss test plans, authorizations to test, CCRs, TRRs, TRBs and supporting all the steps needed in Navigation System Program to conduct testing activity on the field
- To Support the data collection and analysis, also providing technical support to the development and upgrading of testing tools
- To execute the test activity on the field, interacting with companies partners in the Galileo Program and with the Customer
- To Support the identification of emerging needs in positioning /navigation or other GNSS System functions and in understanding what are the technology trends at System and Service levels
- To participate to the on-field and laboratory test campaigns
- To participate to the major meetings/teleconf with the customers
- To participate to the Design phases on different programs
- Provide inputs, contribute and/or lead internal and external presentations to the management and to the Customers, for describing the activity and support technical discussions
- Provide constant periodic reports, internally to the activity's responsible and externally to the Customers
**Language**:fluent English, spoken and written

Knowledge of Satellite Navigation and Communication System is considered a plus.
