Navigation System Engineer

As part of the Engineering Team, we are looking for a Navigation System Engineer.
You will have the following responsibilities:
Act as Navigation Signal Processing Engineer; Lead all activities of Signal Processing in order to support projects and solutions for design, modelling, architectural trade-off and performance assessment; Model and simulate Navigation Payloads; Simulate Navigation Signals generation, acquisition, tracking, performance assessment, distortion estimation and payload self-equalization; Lead the team and activities to contribute to internal R&D for all aspects related to Navigation Signal Processing.
You will act as a member of the Navigation Engineering team co-located in Rome working on the following projects:
European Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS): Galileo first and second Generation; Moonlight: Lunar Navigation and Communication Satellite System aiming to build the first Navigation Satellite system around the Moon; LEO-PNT system (Low-Earth-Orbit Positioning Navigation and Time system): a constellation of small satellites in LEO orbit providing PNT service to users on Earth; Several Space programs for the Italian Space Agency (ASI), European Space Agency (ESA) and also Non-European Agencies and Countries.
Skills & Experience The candidate shall have the following qualifications and working experience:
PhD or University Master degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent; 5-7 years of experience in Signal Processing; Experience in design, analysis and simulations of medium complexity systems; At least 1-2 years of experience as a technical team leader in projects of medium-low complexity; Experience with analysis of requirements and definition of technical solutions; Very good attitude in teamwork and cooperation with other team members.
Strong soft skills to promote teamwork are mandatory; Welcome knowledge and previous expertise with space technology and solutions; Welcome previous experience in project management focusing on activity, cost and schedule management; Very good knowledge of system engineering processes and ECSS standards; Teamwork and problem-solving skills; Fluency in English is mandatory; Italian language is desirable; EC nationality; Applicants must be eligible for security clearance by their national security administration even if their main activities are non-classified.
