Introduction

As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems.

You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms.

You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

**Your Role and Responsibilities

As network security specialist will be responsible for the set up and maintenance of hardware and software systems designed to ensure network security in the following ways:

- Ensures hardware and software are well maintained and up to date with security requirements

- Confirms that the current network system security is suitable for future requirements

- Works with external suppliers to source solutions

- Generates performance reports

- Communicates with management to promote security best practices

- Designing and implementing functional networks

- Configuring, managing and maintaining essential network devices

- Supporting the creation of virtualized networks configuring appliances and security policies

- Using devices such as switches, proxies and routers to segment network traffic and create resilient networks

- Identifying benefits and drawbacks of existing network configurations

- Implementing network security, standards and protocols

- Being responsible for all the MDM related management activities
