The RoleThe role of the NBDM is field-based, responsible for securing new business resulting from leads generated by the MDEs and SDEs, with an element of self-generating leads. Key Responsibilities & Duties:Take overall responsibility for securing new customer business (outbound M & K customers, inbound R customers). Map customers and identify key stakeholders within these clients. Prioritise opportunities. Prepare and deliver sales pitches to prospects in face-to-face meetings. Identify appropriate solutions for customers based on requirements and observations, and pull together proposals for presentation. Conduct follow-up meetings with customers to present proposals either face-to-face or online if necessary. Make further recommendations where required in response to customer feedback. Conduct face-to-face closing meetings. Proactively self-generate leads via cold calling in allocated territory, in collaboration with SDE. Attend relevant trade shows to target potential customers, providing leads for MDEs to target. Work collaboratively with KAMs, MAMs and RAMs providing support where required across K, M and R customers. Work collaboratively with KAMs, MAMs and RAMs in closing handover phase for new K, M and R customers. Ensure all internal systems (CRM) and databases are updated in a timely and accurate manner. Actively participate in internal and external meetings where attendance is required. Knowledge, Skills & ExperienceEssential:A proven track record in a NBDM role. A self-starter with a passion for proactively seeking out and winning new business. The ability to overcome objections and identify solutions to help secure the sale, while remaining diplomatic and trustworthy at all times. Strong prioritisation skills. Exceptional communication and presentation skills (written and oral). Working knowledge of CRM systems. Excellent organisational and time management skills. IT literate. A proven track record of sales negotiations and closing deals. Strong commercial awareness. Desirable:A working knowledge of the new-build process. Previous experience of the industry.
