New Business Development Manager - Media
**Location: Milan/Italy
Currently remote-based working for all employees.

**Role
We are looking for a confident, self-driven senior Commercial Lead, preferably with experience in the media industry, who thrives on managing and growing client business.
Nielsen shapes the world's media and content as a global leader in audience measurement, market research, data and analytics.
We provide our data through Nielsen proprietary software programme but also ad hoc research and anaysis.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop strategic business development plans by fully understanding client needs
- Generate leads and sales opportunities to meet revenue targets
- Manage day-to-day business to ensure we provide a best-in-class service to our clients
- Build and maintain effective client relationships to drive revenue and retention
- Grow client base and drive awareness and adoption of all the Nielsen solutions portfolio
- Understand and guide prospective clients through the benefits and value of our data and help them leverage the results for their business
- Work collaboratively with off-shore Nielsen teams to develop our services in line with client needs
- Manage contract renewals and track sales and revenue in Salesforce
**Requirements**:
- Proven commercial success in previous roles
- Experience independently managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to contracting and closing
- Comfortable working towards quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Bachelor's degree and experience in a sales / client service / account management role, preferably in the media / advertising / brand industry
- Understanding of the media and advertising industry
- Day-to-day client management experience
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills with experience presenting to clients
- Fluent in English both verbal and written
- Ability to work cross functionally and learn from teams in other markets
- Strong analytical skills and attention-to-detail
- Extremely organized and highly motivated
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite skills
