Local Unit & Position Description:

We are looking for a Surveyor to join our NB&CMC team in Italy, reporting to the local Line Management.

The NB&CMC team is a part of DNV Maritime, Region West Europe in the following areas: Iberia, Italy, and Malta.

Newbuilding and Certification-Verification of materials and components (NB&CMC)Fleet in Service (FiS) organised as part of business Unit FiS West Europe. Our customers require a wide range of certification activities: from materials and welding procedures to pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, gears, thrusters, electrical installations, automation systems, lifting appliances, and complex offshore packages.

Perform certification and verification of materials and components at various manufacturers in Italy. Be part of DNV team(s) surveying our Newbuilding project(s) in the country, including activities through all project phases, from planning to close-out. Position Qualifications: Master/Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Systems Engineering. Knowledge/specialization in integrated safety control and monitoring systems will be a plus. Valid driving license. Problem-solving mindset towards our customers. Very good communication skills, verbal and in writing, both in English and Italian. Ability to work flexibly, independently, and result-oriented. Willingness to learn and develop own competence and skills. Eagerness to support new processes and tools to drive digitalisation. Flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time, in Italy and occasionally within the Area/Region. Team player attitude with positive mindset.
