No Offer Description The research activity involves a systematic study of novel foods approved in the European Union in the last 5 years.
Among them, three case studies will be identified and further investigated in terms of methodologies applied for the safety assessment, potential knowledge gaps, intended use, and sustainability impact.
Any communication strategies towards the consumer will also be evaluated to understand if and how the safety and sustainability aspects have been addressed and transferred to the citizens.
The research results will then be discussed critically to evaluate any open issues; possible alternative approaches to promote correct communication to the consumer will be considered as well.
