Location: Viareggio (LU), ItalyCompany: CAEN SpADivision: CAEN SYS System and Spectroscopy DivisionThe successful candidate will work on development and management of CAEN products in the nuclear safeguard, security, and environmental radiologic monitoring fields.

They will ensure product quality throughout the entire production chain, from design to testing, based on market analysis and client follow-ups. Job Description:Full-time positionLocation: Viareggio, ItalyMain Job Tasks and Responsibilities:Work with tasks and deadlines, providing feedback and reports to superiorsMonitor product development, collaborating with a team of experts across various fieldsProvide expert knowledge of products and applications to key accounts, aiming to offer consultative scientific supportAvailable to travel and work in the field, attending meetings with key customers, assisting in product evaluation, and presenting scientific seminarsProduce technical documentation, including application notes, presentations, guides, and user manualsTravel nationally and internationally for conferences and customer meetingsPrepare periodic reports on market trends, product development, and present findings at conferences and in papersQualifications:Master's degree in Particle or Nuclear Physics, or Nuclear EngineeringPh. D.

in a scientific field required; 2-3 years of experiencein R&D projects preferredExcellent knowledge of ionizing radiation detectors and analog signal conditioningFluent in English (written and spoken) at a minimum B2 levelFluent in Italian (written and spoken) at a minimum B2 levelHands-on experience with fast digital electronics integration (fADC or ASICs) for ionizing radiation data acquisition, particularly gamma and neutron detectionExperience in designing, setting up, and testing radiation measurement system prototypes (preferred)Familiarity with CAEN SpA digital data acquisition electronics (preferred)Deep knowledge of statistical data analysis and quantitative spectrum analysis techniquesKnowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, LabView, and Python (an asset)Experience in software algorithm implementation (an asset)Experience in system modeling and simulation, including numerical analysis or Monte Carlo methods (Geant4 or MCNP) (an asset)Experience writing scientific papers, presenting at international conferences, and collaborating on international scientific or engineering projectsSoft Skills:Strong personal task management skills and high self-motivationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPositive and collaborative mindset to effectively manage teamwork and report to high-level managementAvailability for national and international travel (up to 10 days per trip)We are an equal opportunity employer, welcoming applications from both men and women in accordance with Italian Law (L. 125/91).
