Location : Viareggio (LU) ItalyCompany : CAEN SpADivision: CAEN SYS system and spectroscopy divisionThe successful candidate will work on development of nuclear instrumentation and products for applications in the domain of nuclear radiation monitoring, nuclear fuel cycle or measurements for nuclear reactors.

The successful application will support the development and the quality of the products along the full production chain, from design to test and with clients. Full time jobLocation: Viareggio, Italy1.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities :Work with tasks and deadlines providing feedback and reports to superiorsParticipate in the product under development, working with a team of experts in different fieldsExecute measurements and elaborate technical descriptions and technical documents to support the product-system. Availability to travel and to work in the field, attending meetings with key customers, helping with the evaluation of CAEN products and presenting scientific seminarsProduce technical documentation, including Application Notes, presentations, guides and user manualsPrepare technical test sheets, and present the work at conferences2.

Qualifications :Master Degree in Particle or Nuclear Physics, or Nuclear EngineeringKnowledge of ionizing radiation detectors and pulse processing techniquesFluent in English language (written and spoken), at least at a B2 levelFluent in Italian language (written and spoken), at least at a C1 levelKnowledge of statistical data analysis, and demonstrated competence of quantitative gamma spectrum analysis techniques will be an assetKnowledge of programming languages, C, C++, LabView, Python is an assetDemonstrated experience in algorithm implementation in software is an assetDemonstrated experience in system modelling and simulation, with numerical analysis or Monte-Carlo methods (Geant4 or MCNP) is an assetOne of the following requests is mandatory:Hands-on experience of the integration of ionizing radiation data acquisition system, especially for gamma, neutron detection prototypesExperience in setup and test of radiation measurement system3.
