Key InformationPosition Type: Full time Fixed term until 05 May 2026 (Parental leave cover)Location: Malak Clinic baseSalary Range: $103, 713 – $110, 813 (RN 3. 1 to 3. 3)Application Closing Date: 20 March 2025About the Role:Our deadly Nurse Home Visitors (NHV) work with our Family Partnership Worker to provide a comprehensive home visiting service to pregnant women with an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander baby and their families through our Australian Family Partnership Program (AFPP).
As our Nurse Home Visitor, you will work with the AFPP team to foster a culturally safe, therapeutic relationship with pregnant women and promote high level engagement and successful program outcomes.
What You Need to Succeed:Qualification as Registered Nurse with postgraduate qualification in Maternal Child Health. Three years of experience in similar field. Well-developed knowledge of, and contemporary experience in, working with families with relevant management strategies. Knowledge of the social determinants of health (environment, economic and social inequalities) that have a profound impact on the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Demonstrated ability to use culturally sensitive ways to ensure improved client access to DDHS and/or other health services. Proven teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to constructively negotiate outcomes with a diverse range of people and service providers. High level of personal resilience and flexibility with the ability to deal with challenging situations. Demonstrated computer skills, especially in the use of client information systems or similar. Employment with us is subject to: Willing to undergo a Police Check. Ability and willingness to obtain a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card). Current CPR certificate or the preparedness to gain one within 6 months of commencement. Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or an exemption as listed on the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) be submitted.
