BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency working to eradicate hunger and malnutrition.

Our new _Strategy to improve diets and address malnutrition 2024-2030_, sets out how we intend to achieve this as the world approaches the 2030 deadline to fulfil the Sustainable Development Goals
The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive reporting, advocacy, and fundraising support for WFP's nutrition work, with a focus on mobilizing catalytic and core funding and enhancing reporting efforts to a range of donors, including governments, foundations, and individual donors.
This includes supporting a large grant to address child wasting as a core responsibility, while also broadening the scope to cover WFP's overall nutrition strategy aimed at improving diets and addressing malnutrition globally.
The Nutrition Reports Officer will support WFP headquarters (HQ) and country offices (COs) in producing high-quality reports, advocating for policy shifts, and facilitating communication with donors.
Additionally, the role will focus on identifying new funding opportunities, drafting proposals, and engaging with donors to secure resources for WFP's nutrition programs.
The work will require:
- Supporting the development of a fundraising plan in line with WFP's new Strategy to improve diets and address malnutrition, and working with regions and countries to implement the plan. - Supporting the coordination of reporting efforts for nutrition grants, including a large US grant to address child wasting across 7 countries.
ensuring high-quality, timely reports for the donor. - Maintaining grant schedules, monitor progress, and track the status of proposals and reports to ensure timely submission and follow-up. - Working with HQ teams to gather required data, monitoring and evaluation inputs, financial reports, and other information for donors. - Supporting the development of proposals for nutrition grants, including for the next tranche of the US child wasting grant. - Consulting with COs, regional bureau staff, and global WFP offices to align proposals with country needs and strategic priorities. - Negotiating contributions and partnership agreements with donors, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. - Support HQ teams in drafting, copyediting, and formatting reports and other communication materials for external audiences. - Supporting briefing documents and materials for senior management on nutrition topics.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES- Support proposal writing and preparation for global nutrition grants;- Consult with various WFP country office and regional bureau staff, as well as staff in Nutrition HQ teams and Global WFP Offices;- Map and identify key and potential partners for proposals, including NGOs, private sector, UN agencies, and government ministries;- Support grant schedules and tracking grants;- Coordinate and trac
