RINA is currently recruiting for a OHSE Operations Advisor to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the RINA Consulting QOHSE Division.
MissionA Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Senior Advisor typically plays a crucial role in supporting the HSE function within an organization. The role ensures the application of the Corporate and Company policies, developing and implementing security policies, guidelines, procedures and protocols, for the security of Company assets, projects and business travels.
Key AccountabilitiesRegulatory Compliance: Stay updated on Italian Occupational Health Safety and Environmental regulations; Ensure that the organization complies with all relevant laws and standards applicable. Risk Assessment and Management: Identify potential hazards in the workplace. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and prevent accidents or incidents. Develop, implement, and enforce HSE policies and procedures. Communicate these policies to employees and ensure understanding and adherence. Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees at all levels. Emergency Response Planning: Develop and maintain emergency response plans. Organize and conduct drills and training exercises to prepare employees for emergencies. Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and areas of non-compliance. Work with other departments to address and rectify identified issues. HSE Data Analysis and Reporting. Environmental Management: Manage environmental programs, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Implement strategies to reduce the organization's environmental impact. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to HSE activities. Ensure documentation is available for regulatory inspections and audits. Training and Development: Stay current with advancements in HSE practices through professional development. Pursue relevant certifications and attend training programs as needed. EducationBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
QualificationsUp to 10 years of experience in occupational health, safety, and environmental roles, especially applied in mechanical and chemical laboratories. This may include experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and implementing HSE programs. Relevant certifications can enhance a candidate's profile. Common certifications include: Responsible for the Service of Prevention and Protection (RSPP) in compliance with Italian Laws Legislative Decree 81/08. Strong understanding of Italian occupational health safety, and environmental regulations applicable to Mechanical and Chemical Laboratories. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effectively conveying HSE policies, procedures, and issues to employees, management, and regulatory bodies. Collaboration skills to work effectively with other departments and teams in integrating HSE considerations into daily operations.
