Discover more about our culture and approach here: Job Description Summary:Nadara has partnered with BlueFloat Energy to develop and deliver floating offshore wind farms off the costs of Puglia, Calabria and Sardinia.
The projects could deliver more than 5, 5 GW of offshore wind capacity and are scheduled to be complete by the end of the decade, subject to securing consent and commercial arrangements.
The partnership between the two companies is based on Nadara' in-depth knowledge of the Italian industry and energy sector, combined with BlueFloat Energy's technical expertise in floating offshore wind, unique at global level.
Nadara and BlueFloat Energy recognize the strong potential of floating offshore wind technology in Italy for the renewable energy production, which will significantly contribute to the country's energy transition and autonomy, while fully respecting ecosystems. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Onshore Civil Package Manager to lead the civil engineering aspects of the onshore aspects of a cutting-edge floating offshore wind farm project in Italy.
This role focuses initially across Pre-CfD, pre-FEED (Front End Engineering Design) and FEED stages, where you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all onshore civil engineering activities, ensuring the project meets its technical, budgetary, and scheduling goals. Job Description:Key Responsibilities1) Project LeadershipLead the onshore civil engineering package for the floating offshore wind farm project, ensuring alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, structural, and marine engineers, as well as environmental specialists. Coordinate with offshore and manage onshore interface between onshore and offshore elements of the project at landfall. 2) Technical responsibilitiesSupport the entire project team in achieving and maintaining successful Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) approval, ensuring all onshore civil engineering activities comply with EIA requirements and contribute to sustainable project outcomes. Develop and manage onshore civil engineering design packages during the pre-CfD, pre-FEED and FEED stages. Manage the development of onshore civil scope as required per project phase, with focus on design development and construction and commissioning activities. Ensure the design complies with relevant standards, codes, and best practices. Oversee onshore site investigations, surveys, and geotechnical studies to inform design decisions. 3) Stakeholder ManagementAct as Project leading interface for onshore civil scope between global project team and local internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, regulatory bodies, and local authorities. Present project updates and technical information to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. 4) Planning and CoordinationDevelop detailed work plans and schedules for onshore civil engineering activities together with the project planner. Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure onshore construction schedules alignmentMonitor and report on project progress, addressing any issues or delays proactively. 5) Risk ManagementHelp Identifying potential risks across all project stages and develop effective mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity, bankability and safety. Ensure all civil engineering activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations. 6) Documentation and Technical ReportingPrepare and review technical reports, specifications, and design documentation. Develop documentation for and support procurement processes for civil onshore packages. After contract award follow-up Contractor to ensure deliveries in line with scope of work, budget, and schedule. Provide Contractor with input, clarifications and maintain contact as necessary. Maintain comprehensive project records and ensure accurate documentation of all civil engineering activities. QualificationsBachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil/onshore construction engineering for large infrastructures, with at least 5 years in offshore/onshore wind projects. Proven track record of managing civil engineering packages during the pre-FEED and FEED stages of large-scale infrastructure projects. Experience working on floating offshore wind projects is highly desirable. Strong leadership and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in civil engineering design software and project management tools. Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken. Practical knowledge of Construction Law and large-scale investment processes in Italy. Team oriented with well-developed interpersonal and co-operation skills. Commercial awareness and good understanding of total value chain. Target driven and with a continuous improvement drive. Certifications:Chartered Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is preferred.
