Offer Description This research project concerns the mathematical aspects of open and effective quantum systems, with a focus on their derivation from microscopic models of interaction, the latter being possibly mediated by quantum force fields.

The recipient shall have some degree of expertise in the mathematical tools of quantum mechanics (operator theory, functional and harmonic analysis, pseudodifferential calculus), and the ability to apply this knowledge to concrete physical problems.
