Job Description: PPI Specialist 1.
Main Scope of the Position/Responsibilities: The main responsibility of the PPI Specialist is to support the implementation of the PPI Business System to drive continuous improvement through Operational Excellence and Lean Transformation.
The PPI Specialist plays an important role in ensuring that productivity targets are reached and that PPI activities for the site are successfully driven through collaborative challenges and active support to the Site Leadership Team and other departments.

Assignments, Specific/Primary Activities: Deliver results by leading change in people's and factory approach.
Promote lean principles and Operational Excellence standard methodologies across functions.
Deploy lean culture and Operational Excellence tools within the organization via training and engagement activities.
Actively work on exciting projects and timelines to reach savings and productivity targets.
Analyze existing production processes to increase yield and productivity.
Implement and lead approved process improvement initiatives at all levels of the organization.
Coordinate the site's performance management framework, supporting functions and site management in measuring performance.
All activities are driven under the guidance and supervision of the Supervisor PPI or Sr Manager PPI to ensure full alignment with the Operational Excellence function and site goals.

Relations: Internal: All functions, from shop floor operators to the site leadership team.
External: Corporate Functions Employees from other Thermo Fisher Scientific sites Customers Consulting firms Suppliers 4.
Requirements: Education: Necessary: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sciences, Business, or previous experiences in similar positions.
Desirable: Master's degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Business.
Technical and PC Knowledge: Necessary: Good problem-solving skills and excellent teamwork demeanor.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
Good presentation skills.
Desirable: Knowledge of continuous improvement and manufacturing principles.
Green/Black Belt certification.
Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Knowledge of statistical tools.
Expertise in Project Management.
Professional Experience: Necessary: N. A.
Desirable: 2-3 years of experience with manufacturing processes.
Foreign Languages: Fluency in English and Italian.
Personality Traits: Ability to promote change and partner with different functions and seniority levels.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Ability to think "out of the box".
