The Operations Director will be supporting the growth of our MAAG Italian office, in Rozzano, by overseeing the whole production process.

As part of the management team, this position reports directly to the Managing Director and the future Operations Director will manage the two Team Leaders in the production team.

The Operations Director will also have regular interactions with other MAAG facilities to exchange best practices about the manufacturing/production processes.

The main objective of this position will be to plan, deliver and control production performance activities to achieve performance levels.

The Operations Manager will promote a culture of continuous improvement and also define and implement strategic objectives to deliver profitable growth and increased efficiencies in the business.

**Main responsibilities**:

Overseeing the smooth running of the production process incl.

manufacturing, planning, order processing, purchasing, shipping and technical management functions;

Ensuring products are manufactured to a high quality standard and are delivered on time;

Promote and monitor safety culture in collaboration with the EHS manager;

Monitor operations budget, manufacturing strategy and make or buy decisions in line with the budget;

Identify areas and propose solutions, wherever possible, to reduce costs and maximize profits;

Work on CAPEX expenditures for plant upgrades and improvements to meet current and future customer demands;

Promote technical innovations in agreement, coordination with the Cell Manager in order to improve the plant performance;

Tracking and reporting key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness;

Manage an established workforce including coaching, training, leading, developing and hiring.

Regular interactions with other MAAG facilities to exchange best practices and provide technical support

**Profilo ricercato**:

Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or related

Minimum of 3-5 year experience in operations management within the industry

Previous experience in a related industry with similar production process (pumps, valves, system design, rotating equipment, gearboxes, etc.

)

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and mechanical engineering principles

Experience leading and managing a team

LEAN manufacturing experience, a green belt or black belt certification will be considered a strong asset

Strong Communication Skills

Ability to multi-task

Ability to make quick business decisions

Ability to make quick business decisions and proactive follow-up
