Operations Director
You are an Operations lead who comfortably wears different hats and is a stellar problem solver.
You are an entrepreneurial soul who enjoys taking responsibility for the set up of new teams, facilities, communications and ways of working across international teams.
This integral role analyses local market requirements and maps team dynamics and processes accordingly.
You will also play a vital role as a client facing Operations lead when required, whilst working with Delivery teams to safeguard quality, productivity and efficiency throughout our creative and production cycles.
You'll liaise with a cluster of markets (Italy, France and Iberia) to grow and improve processes as well as overseeing a strategic and holistic approach to market resourcing and recruitment, ensuring our business operates efficiently and effectively.
**Client**:
- Deep dive into the local market client universe to truly understand business needs, identify pain points and map a fitting way of working
- Support in external sales and client leadership meetings, providing any documentation to supplement
- Act as the client's Operational point of contact for allocated markets
- Travel to key client and stakeholder meetings where necessary
- Ensure all market red flags and client critical issues are escalated swiftly
**Production**:
- Whilst the production team focuses on the day-to-day, you look ahead and prepare the operation for growth
- Partnering with local Ops Managers for full visibility over local market resource, making strategic decisions regarding Producer allocation and priority
- Devise and implement local team structures that work in harmony with core business units and production hubs
- Think in infinite scalability by leading on creating training documentation and training sessions
- Lead calibration meetings across markets, business units and production hubs, helping to build great relationships across the business
- Collaborate with broader Operations and Business team to leverage production and resource while continually identifying opportunities to optimise efficiency
**Financial**:
- Support markets on monitoring campaign hours booked and addressing over servicing issues
- Have full oversight of the market's post project profitability, making recommendations for staffing or approach to increase profitability
**Team Management**:
- Lead the way for building a positive and open learning environment, that facilitates talent happiness
- Support Business teams with recruitment and facilitate the progress by selecting, planning, and interviewing, as well as tracking progress across your market cluster
- Final oversight over onboarding material, ensuring that this is in place for designated Producers and Business teams and aligns with the broader business
- Support HR on talent initiatives, focusing on closing skills gaps issues and preventing churn
**Requirements**:
- 10+ years in project management, production or operations with at 4+ at a leadership position within an agency environment
- Business level English, ideally also with a working proficiency in Italian, French or Spanish
- You are well-versed in leading demanding clients at Director level and nurturing longstanding client relationships
- You have a well developed understanding of financial operations and planning
- You have experience of leading multinational teams
- You are OK having and handling difficult conversations at a senior level
- You're comfortable wearing many different hats, all while remaining approachable
- You are a natural creative problem solver and relish a challenge
- You're not shy of intensive recruitment cycles and leading senior level recruitment
- You're interested in supply chain optimisation and production efficiencies
- You're an independent and ambitious individual who is also fast and focused
- You're OK with a schedule that's flexible and not predictable
- You want to build and lead international teams
