Operations Excellence Manager
Job Purpose
- Amcor's aspiration is to be renowned as the Flexibles industry leader in Operational Excellence.
The Operational Excellence function will drive significant and sustainable competitive advantage across the value chain to generate top and bottom-line growth.
In addition to delivering gold standard performance, demonstrated through key performance indicators, the global Operational Excellence team will build and champion best-in-class organisational capabilities.
This industry leading performance will be underpinned by developing the Amcor Flexibles Production System (AFPS), systematic collaboration across the Operational Excellence network and a ''One Amcor'' approach across the global Flexibles business.
The Operation Excellence Manager will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of this step change in Operational Excellence within the manufacturing sites; he / she will challenge accepted thinking, create a culture and way of working focused on continuous improvement and move the needle fast through integrated diagnostic and implementation support.
**Job Dimensions & Scope
- 9 plants in Coffee Petcare & Specialities BU across EMEA
**Principal Accountabilities
- Build Continuous Improvement culture in the plants
- Drive network thinking and best practice sharing
- Support the coordination and drive of all transformation efforts with the OPEX transformation team.
- Diagnose plants and set aspirational improvement targets.
- Support delivery of transformation projects in line with the plan.
- Communicate progress and celebrate success.
- Collaborate pro-actively with teams across the global Flexibles business to leverage best practice and drive a ''One Amcor'' approach.
- Develop the Amcor Flexibles Production System (AFPS) including KPIs, standards and process best practices.
- Embed the AFPS at each site in a sustainable way.
- Provide training around key Operations Excellence improvement levers.
- Provide a platform to engage co-workers and contribute towards a culture of continuous improvement.
- Mentor and support all co-workers in up-skilling.
- Regular performance reporting

- Combine CI mindset as priority along with savings delivery
**Qualifications/Requirements
- **Formal Qualifications and Experience
- 5 + years of experience in Operations Excellence / Continuous Improvement / General plant management
- Experience on supporting significant change / transformation projects within a multi-site manufacturing environment.
- First experience of Lean and continuous improvement methodologies e. g.
Six Sigma, Kaizen etc.
- Knowledge of packaging converting and extrusion technologies are strong advantage
