Location: Tuscany, Lucca About the role At our Altopascio (Lucca) plant, we are seeking a Line Leader.
The position includes managing 30 direct reports and overseeing the entire production setup from a 5M perspective in the production area, with direct reporting to the Operations Manager.
Our Altopascio facility, which specializes in producing our Tempo and Tork brands, has a workforce of approximately 300 employees.
It houses a Tissue machine with a cogeneration unit and a converting department for folded products like Hankies and Napkins.
This role is specifically within the converting department.

What You Will Do Team Supervision: Manages and coordinates the team of operators and process engineers working on the production line, ensuring that each member performs their role effectively.
Production Monitoring: Oversees the workflow, ensuring that production follows the established plans and that production goals are achieved.
Quality Management: Ensures that products meet the required quality standards, intervening promptly in case of defects or anomalies.
Workplace Safety: Ensures that safety procedures are strictly followed, preventing injuries and accidents in the workplace.
Process Optimization: Identifies improvement opportunities in the production line, proposing and implementing solutions to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Staff Training: Trains and develops the skills of the operators, ensuring they are up to date on new procedures and equipment.
Equipment Management: Oversees the maintenance and efficiency of production equipment, reporting any need for repairs or replacements.
Reporting: Compiles production reports, monitoring line performance and reporting production, quality, and safety data to management.
Who You Are: Experience as a process engineer, line leader, shift leader or similar roles in manufacturing industries.
Effective leadership: Ability to lead and motivate production teams and process engineers IT skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, and related software.
Strong problem-solving abilities: Quick resolution of operational issues.
Efficient organization: Optimal management and planning of production activities.
Technical knowledge: Familiar with industrial equipment and processes.
Cross-departmental collaboration: Effective coordination between teams and departments.
