Operations Manager
Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations manager to lead and oversee the operations and strategic planning processes for our organization.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, implementing, and optimizing plans related to supply chain, production, inventory, and floor level execution to ensure operational efficiency and business success.
This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to manage cross-functional teams, and a focus on achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Process Optimization: Evaluate and streamline operational processes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and ensure quality while maintaining safety standards. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive planning strategies that align with business goals, focusing on sales, production, and inventory management. Demand Forecasting: Analyze historical data and market trends to create accurate demand forecasts.
Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs and adjust plans accordingly. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and health & safety standards.
Monitor quality standards and enforce compliance. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory planning and optimization.
Ensure the right levels of stock are available to meet customer demand without overstocking, while minimizing costs related to storage and obsolescence. Resource Allocation: Ensure the effective allocation of resources across departments to meet production and operational needs.
Work with various teams to ensure that manpower, materials, and other resources are adequately planned for. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, operations, finance, and supply chain teams to align planning efforts across the organization.
Ensure all departments are informed about demand trends, production schedules, and inventory levels. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Implement best practices and leverage technology solutions to automate and streamline operational workflows. Reporting & Analysis: Monitor and report on key performance metrics related to production performance, including efficiency, quality, and cost metrics, to senior management. Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of professionals in a way that foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment. Problem-Solving: Address production issues or delays, and implement corrective actions when necessary to avoid downtime. Risk Management: Identify operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Ensure business continuity and minimize disruptions.
