Deliveroo HOP launched in September 2021 and is Deliveroo's speedy grocery delivery service.

Our mission is to deliver groceries to customers around the world **in as little as 10 minutes** - from the weekly shop, to a last minute dinner party or a late night snack.

Each delivery store is staffed with a team who have been specially trained to manage the operations efficiently as well as pick and pack orders in record time.

**The role

Operations are the heart of what we do.

We are looking for a talented energetic professional who will contribute to the launch of new Deliveroo Hop stores around Italy.

Your goal will be to travel around Italy, support the launching of new stores and ensure operations will be perfect from day 1.

In this role you will help organise and coordinate the opening of new stores.

You'll be responsible to meet construction deadlines and to make sure every store will be ready as per the expansion pipeline.

You will also supervise all the stores to make sure all facilities meet the high quality standards of Deliveroo and are constantly in perfect shape.

You will help the store managers to train personnel, set up technical facilities, motivate the team and share Deliveroo Hop spirit and knowledge to new stores.

This role requires an ability to be resourceful, an entrepreneurial spirit, a positive mindset and a passion for problem solving.

Success in this role will require the development of effective working relationships with senior leaders across, operations, category, strategy & property.

We're looking for someone who's equally organised and comfortable to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty.

You will report into the Italian Head of Expansion and Strategy.

This role is initially fixed-term for 12 months, with the option to go permanent after that.

**What you'll be doing

- Coordinating all technical work streams needed for launch (construction team timeline review, coordination between construction and store operations, unique point of contact for all construction workstreams)

- Contributing to improve a well defined strategic plan for all new delivery site openings

- Collaborating with the UK based construction team and Italian contractors on field to ensure all our Italian sites will be built according to planned time schedules

- Sourcing suppliers within Italian territory for the facilities and maintenance of the sites

- Managing relations with electricity, gas, security, disposal providers

- Communicating with local authorities for authorizations and permits (no legal background needed)

- Supporting the Store Managers in launching new stores

- Liaising with HQ to ensure all the needed launch steps are followed

- Training store staff in new locations

- Improving store operations and ensuring the best operating standards from day 1

- Supporting with administrative tasks

**Requirements**:

The role requires excellent project and team management skills with a strong track-record of hitting and exceeding business targets/deadlines and building.

We are looking for someone with:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience

- 2+ years of experience in a similar role

- Fluency in English and Italian

- A driven and flexible self starter who can prioritise a challenging workload

- Experience working cross-functionally to deliver projects

- Self starter/entrepreneurial mindset

- Start-up mentality with a love for getting deep in the detail

- A hands on mentality and approach to problem solving and execution
