Offer DescriptionThe project aims at the study, design, and development of EHealth applications, with a focus on issues related to optimization in the field of radiotherapy, as well as the automatic processing and analysis of data acquired through imaging techniques such as CT scans and MRIs.

The project will include, but it will not be limited to, both classical and innovative optimization techniques in Operations Research, along with approaches based on machine learning and/or deep learning.

The project will also have a significant theoretical component, with objectives including the analysis of the computational complexity of problems and algorithms related to the optimization of radiotherapy treatment plans.

Monte Carlo techniques will be used, possibly in conjunction with approximate methods, for the "in silico" simulation of treatment plans.
