About the Role: Job Title: Oracle DBA Type of Hiring: Permanent Location: Milan, Italy (Remote/Occasional Travel) Job Description: Hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA Excellent understanding of Database concepts including Procedures, Triggers, Packages, Database Constraints, and Indexes using Oracle 11g Ability to identify current issues and provide solutions to improve performance Build deployment packages and promote them to higher environments (UAT, Production, and COB) following SDLC Working knowledge of Linux Redhat File System, Cluster Management, and Oracle ASMC and ACFS Manage and maintain databases across multiple environments Perform Database analysis and provide recommendations Work on Database architecture design and performance optimization Develop automation scripts to improve platform efficiency Identify and recommend Database designs and Data models Provide oversight on low-level design and technically guide the Development team Partner with the Development organization to oversee DB landscape for the portfolio Plan and manage existing/new DB Development and customize server configuration as per application needs Implement Index Strategy (e. g. , Fragmentation) Maintain and update Statistics Performance Tuning (Server Config, WAIT Stats) Implement HA Solutions Implement DR/COB Solutions Conduct Application Entitlements Security Review Archive Historical Data Seniority Level Mid-Senior level
