If you are looking to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to making a difference in the renewable energy sector, we have an exciting opportunity for you!We are looking for an Origination Manager for our PV Project Development team, based in Milan, Italy, with occasional travel to project sites across the country. Responsibilities:Manage the land acquisition and assessment team, coordinating with the legal department to prepare and negotiate land agreements. Conduct market scouting and analysis to identify potential opportunities and partnerships. Establish and maintain strong relationships with landowners throughout the entire project development phase. Negotiate lease and purchase agreements for land, in coordination with senior management. Oversee the evaluation of potential sites for renewable energy projects, including PV, wind, and BESS, ensuring compliance with zoning regulations and planning restrictions. Supervise the technical due diligence process for projects. Monitor renewable energy regulations and propose strategies to align with business development objectives. Requirements:Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Science, Planning, or a related field. Proven experience in renewable energy project development, with a strong track record in solar PV, wind, or BESS. A well-established network of land scouts, site developers, or key contacts in the industry. Interest and expertise in the renewable energy market. Experience managing budgets, specifying requirements, and formally acquiring contracts for new projects. Strong negotiation skills for land lease and purchase agreements. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various levels—from landowners and contractors to executives. Solid knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations. Familiarity with legislation and best practices governing the planning, permitting, and development of renewable energy projects in Italy. Strong commercial and financial acumen with an understanding of full lifecycle project economics and key design inputs that impact project feasibility. High levels of resilience and energy, with the ability to set ambitious goals and deliver results for individual and team objectives. Persistence in overcoming challenges and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to high standards. Inclusive leadership style and strong listening skills to successfully guide the land acquisition team. Academic Background:Degree in Engineering, Science, Planning, Architecture, or a related discipline. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English (B2 or higher).
