The

Essential Responsibilities:

The Pad and Process Technology Engineer will play a critical role in the development, implementation and validation of Smart Brake Pads assembly technology and will report directly to the Smart Pad Technology Manager of GALT.

He/she will be responsible for the following activities:

- managing internal and external development activities, coordinating and defining development plans

- defining and managing high temperature assembly process development & optimization activities

- process characterization and definition of in-line process control (Statistical Process Control)

- defining activities plan for the technology transfer and industrialization

- Design Of Experiment: plan, execution and statistical data analysis

- Innovative material test, validation and qualification

- prototype manufacturing planning to support on-going R&D and customer activities

- defining and implementing quality system of new assembly process in the final production line

- supporting Project budgeting and cost controlling

- Customer follow-up (DVP, PVP)

- Lifetime test and data analysis of Smart Pad

- Product/Manufacturing Process Development

- Testing management/Execution

- Support/coordinate industrialization activities

- collaborating with the rest of the Team to continuously improve the Smart Pad technology

Position Requirements:

**What will make you our perfect match?

Attitude and experience in statistical data analysis are required: previous experience in technologies process development, as well as knowledge of Statistical process control, would be a plus.

It will also be considered a plus any specific experience in assembly process technology.

Further relevant details, he/she will have to fulfill:

- Good statistical and process analysis capability

- Good knowledge of Design of Experiment methodology

- Knowledge in sensors (piezoelectric / temperature) and assembly technologies (Ag-Sinter, reflow process) fields are a plus

- Optimal problem-solving capability (8D-methodology knowledge is a plus)

- Knowledge of Process and Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis are a plus

- Knowledge of JMP, Origin and Matlab software is a plus

- Attitude to work in laboratory environment (proto-, assembly

- line)

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

- Attitude to team working

- Flexible and effective in managing multiple and overlapping activities

- Communication and organization skills are essential

- Fluent in English

- Willingness to travel
