**The Role
We are looking for a very organised and flexible **Paralegal** to join our Private Client and Tax Department, in Milan.
**Key elements**of the role**include:
- Prior experience in assisting clients before Italian immigration offices (consulates, _questura_ and _prefettura_)
- Good knowledge of Italian immigration and citizenship law
- Proficiency in English (C1)
- Performing legal research on immigration and citizenship law
- Assisting clients during meetings with immigration offices (Consular offices, _questura, Comune_, etc.
)
- Producing accurate, high-quality work quickly and efficiently, using the firm's software packages and document management systems
- Upon request, preparing first drafts of terms of engagement letters; using electronic file opening, ensuring anti-money laundering requirements are adhered to and requesting necessary Know Your Client documentation
- General administrative duties

**Required skills and experience
- Excellent academics (not less than 100/110)
- Fluent Italian and English communication skills are mandatory (English proficiency equal to a C1 is a must)
- Prior work experience in global mobility with a special focus on immigration law and citizenship
- Enthusiastic and engaged attitude with excellent people skills and a good, clear communication style
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong research skills
- Teamwork is vital together with the ability to work alongside colleagues in our overseas offices
- Strong IT skills (e. g.
Word & Excel)
