Purpose of role The Parts Planning & Warehouse Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the availability and efficient supply of parts to support our aftersales operations.
Key Results/Accountabilities expected from the role Demand Forecasting and Planning:Analyze historical data, market trends, and customer feedback to forecast parts demand. Develop and maintain demand planning models to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts. Inventory Management:Monitor and determine optimal stock levels and develop strategies to minimize excess inventory and backorders. Implement inventory optimization techniques, such as safety stock, reorder point, and economic order quantity (EOQ). Analyze BO status regularly and work closely with China HQ or suppliers to resolve critical BOs. Parts Ordering and Replenishment:Create purchase orders and coordinate with China HQ to replenish stock. Implement just-in-time (JIT) principles to streamline parts ordering and minimize excess inventory. Track and monitor order status, ensuring timely delivery and addressing any delays proactively. Data Analysis and Reporting:Generate reports and insights on inventory performance, demand trends, and supplier performance. Provide regular reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and recommendations for process improvement. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely parts delivery, negotiate contracts, and drive cost reduction initiatives. Implement regular evaluations to monitor suppliers' performance and conduct audits on suppliers' facilities and processes. Experience & Educational background & Expertise Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications or equivalent work experience will be considered.
More than 5 years of experience in parts planning, inventory management, and ordering processes within the automotive industry.
Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of automotive parts and components, including familiarity with part numbers, interchangeability, and compatibility.
Fluency in both Italian and English.
