In order to strengthen our engineering team we are looking to hire a **Passive Safety - Front System Specialist** based in Maranello (Italy).
We are looking for a passive safety Performance Engineer expert on front system development on sports cars.
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Support Innovation team leading passive safety performance through engineerging analisys, data and video analisys and suggesting new ideas
- Build up activities plan for each vehicle (passive safety relevant)
- Definition of the target settings
- Target deployment definition
- Definition of the development plan of the lateral restraint system
- Verification of the consistency of the std plan with the vehicle plans
- Achievement of target performance
- Transversal design solutions
- Verification of the introduction of project changes
- Pursuit of the testing plan
- Preparation of STD specifications for test object set-up
- Preparation of STD test specifications
In order to succeed in this challenging role, you will ideally have achieved excellent academic results with a Master-degree in Mechanical / Biomedical / Vehicle Engineering or equivalent.
You should ideally have gained at least 3 years' dedicated experience on development of front system for EU and US market: front sled, simulations and crash test planning.
Basic knowledge of CAE technology for biomechanical simulation and understanding homologation rules in the EU and US market are important to manage the activities.
In Ferrari you must exhibit the capability to work in a highly-dynamic and fast-changing environment, strong communication skills and accountability are important skillset to manage activities and responsibility of the role.
It is important to be proactive proposing new solutions to optimize all the processes and activities.
Fluent English is required for the position and Italian language skills are an advantage.
